Downtown Lv Auto - Off-road racing and culture made a triumphant return to Fremont Street East in downtown Las Vegas on Thursday with the annual Mint 400 off-road festival. Dozens of the world's leading racing, automotive and off-road brands bring their traveling exhibits to town for an all-day promotion for race fans and tourists, while hundreds of trucks, cars, motorcycles, UTVs and more compete. This weekend's event ran through the festival as part of the technical and casual process.
"Every year the Mint 400 Off-Road Festival is proof positive that the sport of off-roading is as strong as ever," said Mint 400 CEO Matt Martelli. “Seeing new fans encounter the sport for the first time is an incredibly satisfying part of why we put the off-road festival together. But it's also a great opportunity to bring together all the biggest names in the sport, in the heart of a major urban setting. By bringing the sport to the people, we hope to bring more people into the sport as we prepare for two days of racing on Friday and Saturday in Prem.

A signature event as part of the BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 each year, the Mint 400 Off-Road Festival welcomes all competitors and event partners to a one-day takeover of Fremont Street. The Mint 400 has held the title of the toughest, most spectacular off-road race in North America since 1968, when it was first run. Originally, the race was a public relations event to promote the Mint Hotel's annual deer hunt. But what started as a hotel promotion soon turned into a legitimate wasteland. Since its revival in 2008, the "Great American Off-Road Race" has only gotten bigger and more prestigious, and the deeper fields each year only make it harder to win.
